Good fishing on a calm day only usually happens during the late summer months when the current is from the South. Generally this time of year we have rough Windy days which kick off our spring run of Atlantic Sailfish. I was Happy when I found out our charter was from Chicago, that is where I migrated from some 25 years ago…. And they are always a whole lotta fun! even if they are CUBS fans…..
We headed out at 7:30 with the game plan to start offshore and look for Mahi Tuna and Sailfish. It started out slow, but eventually we got our fish. We caught one nice Blackfin Tuna, several BIG Bonita, 4 Dolphin, a pair of Cerro macks…… well actually 1 1/2 the taxman got his half….also a almaco jack, and a HUGE yellowtail… we got in and I filleted our customers fish up, and off to Dantes to have their catch perfectly prepared. I cant say enough what a good time I had fishing with our charter today, always smiling. enjoying life. it was a good day because we usually never get Good Fishing on a Calm day this time of year….
